Winter in Alta Badia doesn’t mean just skiing – even non-skiers will feel here at their ease and fully enjoy their holiday on the snow! Discover the winter magic of the Dolomites on foot along the well-prepared and marked paths or with snowshoes across forests and meadows, sleeping sweetly under their soft snowy blanket. Rich and various is the program of snowshoe hikes led by expert guides that will take you to Malga Valparola, to the Castle of Andraz, along the routes of Kaiserjäger or into the magnificent landscapes of Averau, on the traces of the First World War or on the tracks of wild animals.
Children in Alta Badia will never get bored. At their complete disposal there are numerous playgrounds on the snow, including the fantastic Kids fun Park on top of Piz la Ila with snow-tubing, slides and much more. But the most special experience is, for sure, sledging down from Piz Sorega across meadows and forests on the long and panoramic sledding run Trù Liösa Foram – a real fun even for adults. Another family activity is a horse-drawn sleigh ride that is sometimes organized even in the evening on the trail illuminated by torches. Among the other evening events there are torchlight descents and ski shows of the local ski schools.
And when the weather is bad, have fun indoors, skating on the ice rink, swimming in the public indoor pool, riding a horse on the covered equestrian arena, climbing one of the rock and boulder walls or discovering the varied, genuine and fascinating Ladin culture and history in one of the museums.
There is nothing left but to choose the most exciting activities for your next winter holiday in Alta Badia!
