The plateau of Fanes

The tour of Fanes promises a tiring day, but every effort will be rewarded with fabulous panoramas, considered among the most beautiful in all the Dolomites.

The tour starts in the locality of Capanna Alpina (4,5 km away from your Hotel La Stüa in the direction of the Valparola Pass – to save the forces for the tour we advise you to arrive at Capanna Alpina by car or public transport). In Capanna Alpina starts trail no. 11 that lets you explore the Fanes plateau and the Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Prags. After the ascent proceed along the same trail to the Alpine huts Ütia Fanes and Ütia Lavarela with enchanting Lech Vërt (Green Lake) in between. Then continue on trail no. 7 to the Alpine hut Pederü, from where in summer operates a shuttle service to San Vigilio di Marebbe.

Otherwise, instead of trail no. 7, you can take no. 12 that will take you over Forcella de Medesc to the Larch trail (no. 15) that leads directly to your Hotel La Stüa.
