1974-1979 – The first renovation is carried out: now all the rooms have private bathrooms. The bar and the dining room change their look and become more comfortable and modern without losing their characteristic charm. In the hotel management there are some changes as well. In 1979 Ilda’s niece, Rita, joins her aunt in the hotel administration.
1998-2001 – It’s time for the second renovation: the Hotel receives its own wellness area with sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpools, Kneipp bath, cold water plunge pool and relaxation zone. The roof is completely rebuilt too, rising up and making space for the new rooms in the attic. The dining room becomes bigger, followed by the creation of a playroom and the installation of a lift. Starting from 2000 Rita and her husband Sauro undertake the task of running the Hotel while Ilda enjoys her well-deserved pension, though never retiring completely and always eager to provide her precious help to the young managers.
2015 - The Hotel’s mother, Ilda, has passed away, but Rita and Sauro, now with their sons Robert, Gabriele and Michele take good care of her beloved La Stüa. Further changes and improvements are planned for the nearest future, such as construction of a ski/bike storage, enlargement of the dining room, renovation of the rooms (some of them will gain a veranda) and adding some other apartments.
2017 - We executed the following qualitative improvements to the hotel:
- transformation of 4 small rooms in two gorgeous, large Suites with balcony and veranda
- transformation of 3 small rooms in one apartment
- extension of 6 south-oriented rooms: they now dispose of a pretty veranda and a wooden balcony
- extension of the dining room to locate the buffet in a more centered position
- in the wellness-area: the two Kneipp-tubs have been replaced with two footbaths; a bench with refrigerator and tee-dispenser has been added; furthermore the hot tub-area has been separated from the relax-zone to minimize the noise coming from the hot tubs
- on the ground-floor, our tipical taverna has been extended and a big screen has been added; we have created a small, multi-functional room which serves as ski-depot, but also contains a tapis-roulant, cyclette and table football; in addition we renovated the laundry
- a new room for storing purposes has been added
